The Adamawa State Police Command has rescued two kidnapped victims in Gwewan Village, Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, the spokesperson for the Adamawa State Command, Suleiman Nguroje, said that one suspected kidnapper was arrested during a raid on the kidnappersโ den.
โThe Adamawa State Police Command has successfully rescued two kidnapped victims and arrested one suspected kidnapper during a coordinated security operation in Song Local Government Area, following their kidnapping at Gwewan Village, Dumne in Song LGA,โ the statement read.
Nguroje added that the success was primarily due to the strategic deployment of combined security assets by the Commissioner of Police, Dankwambo Morris, which led to a joint operation comprising police operatives and members of local security outfits.
โOn sighting the security team, the suspected kidnappers engaged the operatives in a gun duel but were forced to flee with possible gunshot injuries, abandoning two kidnapped victims, Rabe Mamman Sani, 18, and Aminu Mamman Sani, 16, who were rescued unhurt,โ the statement added.
