The Abia State Police Command says it will arraign a 37-year-old man, Agwu Ukpo, for attempted murder for allegedly assaulting a woman during a dispute over a pot of soup in the Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Maureen Chinaka, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
Chinaka stated that the suspect was apprehended following the circulation of a viral video showing him allegedly attacking the victim, identified as Amarachi Chinyere.
According to the PPRO, operatives of the command’s Violent Crime Response Unit arrested the suspect after acting on intelligence.
