The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has clarified that no date has been established for the resumption of Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) or for the transfer and replacement of lost Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs). In a statement issued on Sunday, May 4, 2025, via its official X account, INEC’s Chief Press Secretary, Rotimi Oyekanmi, debunked circulating online claims suggesting these services would restart on May 27. He labeled the statements as fake and anonymous, urging the public to disregard them. Oyekanmi assured that INEC would announce any resumption dates through its verified channels when ready, emphasizing the commission’s commitment to accurate communication.
