Mrs. Medina Isah, mother of Mustapha Isah, the immediate past President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Auchi General Hospital in Edo State, where she was receiving treatment for an illness. She was 80 years old. A devout Muslim and philanthropist, Mrs. Isah was known for her positive impact on her community. She has been buried in accordance with Islamic rites. She is survived by her husband, Chief Isah Umoru Osikhekha, the Ovhoitse of Ubuneke, Ivbiaro, in Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State, as well as her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The NGE, in a statement, mourned her loss, highlighting Mustapha Isah’s contributions during his 2019–2023 tenure.
